Poboy Tray

A three foot New Orleans Poboy Bread loaded with sections of roast beef, ham, turkey with lettuce, tomatos, mayonaise and pickles, then cut into smaller finger sized servings and arranged on an 18″ tray and garnished with french fries, cherry tomatoes and pepperoncini peppers. Leave on a table for your guests to choose or pass the tray around.

Thinly sliced and battered Louisiana catfish, fried Louisiana Oysters and large gulf shrimp arranged on an 16″ platter with French Fries, hushpuppies and onion rings. Garnished with cherry tomatos, pickles and pepperoncini and served with Tatar sauce and Cocktail sauce. This is a great finger food item that will serve many people.

DELIVERED DINNER & PLATE LUNCHES MENU

Dinner and Lunch Plates delivered to schools, plants, offices, groups and large gatherings. Minumun plate order is 10 and must be ordered 48 hours in advance in order to prepare. – Price: $2.00 delivery fee plus driver gratuity. Will not seperate orders and if being delivered to a secure area, the driver must be met at the entrance.

About Pastime

The Pastime Restaurant started out as a grocery store on the Corner of South Blvd and a gravel road that later became Nicholson Drive, in the early 1920s. It operated as Alesce’s Grocery on the south side of downtown Baton Rouge in an area designated as Beauguard town. Surrounded by a rice mill, a brickyard, a lumberyard and a furrier, the Pastime eventually grew into a restaurant and lounge in 1945.

Due to the one-mile exclusion law from the LSU campus for any business selling alcohol, the Pastime, being one of the closest places to celebrate LSU sports, became a familiar and popular hangout for students, faculty and fans alike. As the times changed, the laws were lifted, but the tradition was started and remains today.
