Kiitos Beer Menu

Blonde Ale

There are no two ways about it, everyone loves a Blonde Ale. In addition to a traditional taste that appeals to beer drinkers of all types, our Blonde Ale just looks good in the glass. We chose to represent this visually appealing brew on our cans with one of Finland’s most unique and striking birds, the Capercaillie. Renowned for its attractive black plumage and elaborate mating display, the Capercaillie is truly something to behold. Kind of like a nice cold glass of Kiitos Blonde Ale.

Amber Ale

The Amber Ale’s deep, rich hues and caramel character make it a balanced beer. So why did we put a seal on its label? The Saimaa Ringed Seal is an endangered species found only in southeastern Finland. With only several hundred remaining, it’s become the emblem for the Finnish Association for Nature Conservation and is featured on the Finnish Smarkka coin. And because we here at Kiitos are all about conservation, the Saimaa Ringed Seal was, well, a natural.

Pale Ale

Finland’s National Animal, the Brown Bear is the perfect embodiment of our flagship brew, Kiitos Pale Ale. Solid, untamed and commanding respect, both the Brown Bear and Kiitos Pale Ale are formidable presences to those who know them. Our Pale Ale has a resinous pine hop profile and a smooth, refreshing drinkability that belies the wild ferocity of its image-sake, while paying tribute to its bold, dependable character. And, like the beer, the Brown Bear travels in packs.

Coffee Cream Ale

The wolverine, a solitary animal found throughout Finland, has a reputation for power and strength much larger than its size. Similarly, the Kiitos Coffee Cream Ale is a visually light & subdued beer that surprises with a ferocious coffee aroma and flavor. By using whole, unground Guatemalan coffee beans from a local Salt Lake City roaster, we’re able to create the rich, dark coffee taste without color change. The wolverine and coffee cream ale both prove that you shouldn’t underestimate strength by looks alone.

Coconut Stout

To create the Kiitos Coconut Stout we use organic toasted coconut and a large percentage of oatmeal in the mash to give the beer a robust, creamy mouthful with a fresh coconut flavor and aroma. Therefore it only made sense to represent this luxurious beer with the regal ermine. Found throughout Finland, the ermine’s coat is among the most valuable of commercial furs and used to be reserved exclusively for royalty. Which means it’s pretty clear that our coconut stout deserves a place as the sovereign of your fridge.

Just like the venerable atlantic salmon swims against the current, the Kiitos Northeastern India Pale Ale prides itself on being the antithesis to the traditional IPA. We chose salmon to represent this unique brew because Finland’s River Teno produces more atlantic salmon catches than any other river in the world. And we think our Northeastern India Pale Ale, known for it’s restrained bitterness and heightened hop aromas, is a pretty good thing to catch in it’s own right.
